TEAM-Östergötland is a new project that takes a holistic approach to strategic marketing and place development in The Region of Östergötland.
The Region of Östergötland has a clear strategy to take a holistic approach in strategic marketing and place development. This strategy is now getting much clearer. Together with Tillväxtverket, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, a new future-oriented project has started. The goal of the project is, within three years develop, organize and finance a coordinated delivery function of the region’s strategic place development, containing the work of attracting investments and place branding. This is achieved through a clear interaction between public and private actors.
The Danish company Lalandia’s planned investment in Motala Municipality has been identified as an appropriate pilot case in the project. The work has rendered in great accumulated experience that the region can benefit from, in a much broader perspective.
The project will be led by The Region of Östergötland together with Tillväxtverket, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth. All municipalities, surrounding counties and other relevant regional and national organizations will also be invited and involved.
The project has been given the name: TEAM-Östergötland, which is based on an abbreviation from the Swedish words for Growth, Establishment, Attraction and Marketing.
Through the initiative, The Region of Östergötland wants to supplement already taken initiatives, but also strengthen the entire region- and separate municipality’s value propositions as well as increasing our common knowledge in the area of attracting establishments, investments and talents.
